We’re excited to introduce a new feature that brings us one step closer to our mission: helping you cook more, with less hassle — Grocery Delivery.
In hundreds of interviews with home cooks, one thing came up again and again: even when you want to cook, getting the groceries can be a hurdle. The average grocery trip — including travel, shopping, and checkout — takes around an hour. Some nights, that’s enough to make Uber Eats the easier option.
Grocery delivery can help to bridge that gap.
Imagine this: you’re scrolling Instagram or browsing NYT Cooking on your lunch break, find a recipe you want to make for dinner, and with a few taps, the groceries are waiting at your door when you get home.
If you use Deglaze’s meal-planning calendar or add multiple recipes to the grocery list at once, the app automatically combines duplicated ingredients across your recipes. That means your Instacart order will have exactly what you need, in the right amounts. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.
Prefer to shop in person for fresh ingredients? No problem. You can still use grocery delivery for your staples — the pantry and household items you restock regularly. As you use Deglaze, it learns what you buy and how often, and will start suggesting your most common items when you tap the “+” button to add to your list. A couple taps and your list is ready.
